HB 1971 supports the rights of people with disabilities when it comes to fair housing. This is an important bill and a step in the right direction for increasing the visibility and rights of people with disabilities.

HB 1864 expands the definition of employer in the Virginia Human Rights Act which is great as it makes it clearer for others to understand.

HB 2178 creates bonds that can issue money to revenue-producing projects from Vtech and other state universities. It will help propel innovation in those areas.

The committee was hard at work in the 2021 General Assembly Session working on the Marijuana Legislation Bill (SB 1406 and HB 2312) which will come into effect on July 1st. It was a huge bill and one that many were in anticipation to see if it would pass.

Senate Bill 1395 removes any form of discrimination against voters which is great because it will ensure that elections are free of any forms of bias and voters from all communities will be able to have their voices be heard.

Senate Bill 1457 is a great bill as it strives to preserve historic sites which are important in Fairfax County. It will enable the public to have more access to landmarks and buildings that are of great historical value.

I endorse Jennifer Carroll Foy for Governor of Virginia. I had the pleasure of campaigning for her VA delegate run and the work she did in helping to expand Medicaid and championing for vulnerable communities was great. I believe she will be a wonderful governor and will make history in the position.
