Office Assistant – GMU Student Centers (Fairfax, VA)

Responsible for assisting with the operations of the Student Centers administrative office by answering phone calls, filing, processing table/kiosk reservations, locker rentals, and advertising reservations in a clear and timely manner. Daily tasks include running errands, providing professional administrative support, and other duties as assigned with attention to detail and while following university and departmental guidelines. Communicate with coworkers during shift overlaps/changes about updates throughout the day and follow-ups with clients.
Roving Crewmember – Southwest Conservation Corps (Salida, CO)
May 2021 – August 2021
Paid volunteer AmeriCorps position with the nonprofit organization Conservation Legacy. Worked on a variety of conservation and service projects with the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service agencies in national parks and wilderness areas in Colorado. Gained invaluable experiences and skills using tools, crosscutting, learning proper rockwork and erosion control, and trail maintenance. Program led to personal growth and allowed me to demonstrate responsibility, safety, commitment, and cooperation with my crew.

Shift supervisor for front and back of house, provided excellent customer service, managed orders during busy hours and under stress, kept the store in compliance with state COVID guidelines and regulations.

Served as Election Officer at polling station in Arlington, Virginia for the 2020 presidential election. Rotated through shifts such as poll book check-in, runner, ballot casting officer, scanner, and greeter from 5:00am -8:30pm.
