Delegate Brenda Pogge represents Virginia’s 96th House of Delegates District, which includes parts of James City and York Counties. A member of the House since 2008, Delegate Pogge serves as vice-chair of the House Finance Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the House Education Committee and the House Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee. Delegate Pogge chairs the Virginia Disability Commission and is a member of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Board, the Virginia Indian Commemorative Commission, the School Readiness Committee, and the Virginia Commission on Civics Education. She also serves on the Task Force to Commemorate the Centennial Anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote. Prior to serving in the General Assembly, Delegate Pogge enjoyed a career as a REALTOR ® on the Peninsula.
For over twenty years, Brenda has worked tirelessly on behalf of conservative causes and candidates. As a longtime activist, Delegate Pogge understands firsthand the need for conservative fiscal and social leadership in Richmond. A champion of limited government and fiscal responsibility, Brenda consistently endorses commonsense, pro-family legislation.
A resident of James City County, Brenda is a member of the Toano Kiwanis Club. She and her husband, Roger, are members of CrossWalk Community Church and together have five children and nine grandchildren. Over an eleven year period, Brenda and Roger also served as foster parents to more than twenty children. Both Brenda and Roger remain active in the Williamsburg community.
